A basic health check is conducted on animals to detect any obvious injuries, skin conditions, tumours, disfigurement, heart or dental diseases.

The basic health check given to animals is not extensive and does not guarantee that an animal is free of all medical conditions. Domestic Animal Services makes no representation as to the health of any animal. In accepting ownership of an animal, you are agreeing to accept the animal in the condition in which you receive it.
